This year has been our biggest year for TradeSpeed yet. Our product team delivered two major upgrade versions, expanded check coverage, new modules, and transformative features that give trade finance teams unprecedented visibility and control.
Here are our top 5 product updates from 2025.

1. 🚢 Vessel Monitoring Module
TradeSpeed's new Vessel Monitoring module transforms supply chain oversight with real-time maritime risk intelligence. An interactive world map tracks goods from loading to discharge, automatically flagging sanctioned jurisdictions, dark activities, ship-to-ship transfers, and ownership risks.

Comprehensive vessel profiles deliver technical specifications, sanctions status, and compliance indicators at a glance giving operations teams complete supply chain visibility without manual research.
2. 🔍 Screening Module Reimagined
We've completely rebuilt our Screening module from the ground up with flexibility and intelligence at its core:
Enhanced Architecture: The module now shares the same lifecycle, statuses, and configurability as our examination and red flags modules, making it seamless to integrate new screening engines and customize fields and thresholds.
Smarter Screening: New country-based screening dramatically reduces false positives by incorporating geographic context. Operations teams can now screen Port of Loading, Port of Discharge, and Country of Final Destination directly from documents or SWIFT messages, with every screening check enriched by location data when available.
Ad-Hoc Flexibility: Need a quick follow-up check? The new ad-hoc screening feature lets teams add sanctions or adverse media screening on the fly, directly from the transaction's Screening tab.
Complete Transparency: Full audit trail integration ensures every screening decision is documented and traceable.
3. 🚩 Red Flag Coverage Expansion
We've expanded our red flags module with new checks based on direct feedback from operations teams and industry experts reaching unprecedented coverage and depth. This expanded library provides banks with comprehensive detection capabilities across their daily workflows.
Key additions include:
S&P Powered Price Verification – Cross-reference goods pricing against S&P market data to identify suspicious values, enhanced by AI-derived HS codes for superior accuracy
Configurable High-Risk Goods Detection – Flag specific HS codes based on your risk appetite, with configurable conditions.
AI-Powered HS Code Derivation – TradeSpeed's AI automatically derives accurate HS codes from goods descriptions, enabling more precise price lookups and risk assessments.
As always, teams can enhance standard red flags with institution-specific custom rules tailored to their unique risk profiles.
4. 📝 Amendment Workflow Visibility
We launched a new SWIFT Amendments page that provides complete transparency into how documentary credits evolve over time. Operations teams can now:
View all intermediate terms at each amendment step, not just final terms
Trace the complete amendment history through one or more MT707s
Navigate seamlessly between AI Insights, the Annotation Tool, and investigation pages
Use search and filters to quickly find specific changes across the full amendment timeline
5. 🤖 Editable AI Insights with Advanced Reasoning
Our completely redesigned AI Insights page groups all AI-generated insights by field and document, accessible from document tables and investigation workflows.
User Control: For the first time, operations teams can directly correct LLM-powered AI Insights through dynamic, auto-generated forms. Each form adapts to the underlying data type—whether text, numbers, dates, or enumerations—with built-in validation ensuring clean, consistent updates.
Smarter Analysis: AI Insights now leverage chain-of-thought reasoning, significantly improving accuracy for complex prompts and nuanced document interpretations. The system doesn't just extract but thinks through implications, delivering more reliable insights for compliance and operational decisions.

These updates reflect our commitment to building technology that doesn't just automate, it empowers operations teams with the intelligence, flexibility, and control they need to excel in an increasingly complex trade finance landscape.
